DESCRIPTION:Um/Welt ist das neue Projekt des venezianischen Kontrabassisten Marco Centasso, inspiriert vom Umwelt-Begriff Jakob von Uexkülls: Jede Wahrnehmung erschafft ihre eigene Welt. Das Quartett verbindet Kontrabass, Saxofon, Bassklarinette, Stimme und Oud mit Live-Elektronik zu einem ständig wandelnden Klangraum. Texte in mehreren Sprachen eröffnen poetische Bilder. Eine immersive Live-Erfahrung zwischen Jazz, Elektronik und mediterranen Einflüssen.

Um/Welt è il nuovo progetto del contrabbassista e compositore veneziano Marco Centasso, ispirato al concetto di Umwelt del biologo Jakob von Uexküll: ogni essere vivente crea il proprio mondo percependolo e trasformandolo.
Il quartetto unisce suoni acustici ed elettronici – contrabbasso, sax e clarinetto basso, voce e oud si fondono con l’elettronica live in un paesaggio sonoro in continua evoluzione. Testi in inglese, arabo e lingue inventate evocano immagini poetiche: pianeti in collisione, deserti animati, ninne nanne di mondi postumani.
La musica attinge a jazz, elettronica e influenze mediterranee, e dal vivo si trasforma in un’esperienza immersiva e visionaria. L’album di debutto è uscito a maggio 2025 per Parco della Musica Records.
